Sherry K. Stone Foundation for a Cure

The Sherry K. Stone Foundation for a Cure was founded two days after Sherry passed away from lung cancer. The purpose of the foundation is to raise money for the funding of assorted research and programs related to women's cancer issues. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who have visited this website and encouraged others to do so. The more we spread the word of what this foundation is trying to do, the more people will want to become involved in our efforts. There is not a person you or I know who has not had their lives affected by cancer in some manner. Research is making remarkable strides in preventing and fighting these killer diseases, but we've still a long way to go. Sherry fought her cancer with every fibre of her being and though she died, it doesn't mean that the cancer won. Quite the contrary. Her foundation was born out of her fight and determination. Together, there is strength in numbers! After some 14 months of enduring bureaucratic red-tape, we have officially recieved our 501 C-3 Non Profit status from the Internal Revenue Service thereby making all contributions to our foundation, completely tax deductible. I was recently asked of all the interviews I've done in my career, if I only had one question to ask the President of the United States, what would my question be? Without hessitation I replied, "Mr. President why is it made so difficult to set up and establish a non profit foundation like this one?" I'd love to hear that answer. If you have contributed to our foundation, our most heartfelt thanks to you. If you have been contemplating contributing, we encourage you to please do so and join us in this cause. "There is no amount too small for a cause so great." So far this year, our efforts have been about raising awareness of our efforts and plans for Sherry's Foundation.  Again, our most heartfelt thanks and may God bless you.
